OZORO EXPRESS ROAD IN A DILAPIDATED STATE DEMANDS GOVERNMENT URGENT ATTENTION
Ozoro township express road for so many years now has been abandoned by several administrations of the state government. The problem in which motorcyclists and passengers are passing through right now is so cumbersome that if in the next two months the menace is not tackled Ozoro will no longer have a township express road.
Among the dilapidated spots on the road,the ozoro first bank PLC front is the worst as it now turns out to be a dead zone for passersby, drivers and passengers as a result of the perennial rainfalls.
Obviously, Several administration of the state has left this road in abeyance for too long and as a matter of fact demands urgent restructuring and reconstruction, because without the thorough mending of the road no one will be able to pass with his or her car,motorcycle not even a bicycle as the condition remain chaotic and worrisome.
The worst part is that so many state and federal government officials keeps plying the dilapidated road without even having the mindset of fixing it. Why would such wickedness exist among humans? They don't seem perturbed nor worry about the scenario of this unwelcomed development but all they do is to keep driving through the road at all times with their exotic cars and heavily mounted security personnel's without having the thought of what would benefit the people of ozoro community, Isoko north local government area, Delta state.
I want to use this opportunity to call on the honourable member representing Isoko federal constituency at the federal House of representatives, Rt Hon Leo okuweh to please use his office to liaise with the federal government in ensuring that the problem is fixed in no distant time as all the people of ozoro community seems so angered as they consistently decries the state of this road. Though so many information has been looming that the contract for the construction of the road has been awarded to some greedy leaders and personalities who wouldn't want to serve the citizens genuinely but wish to enrich their deep pocket with the finances meant for the development of the poor masses.
Also,the Delta state government under the leadership of Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the prosperity governor of Delta state should please do something tangible about the situation on ground. We all know the situation of things in Nigeria currently as a result of the economic recession which has truly crippled every segment of the nations source of income, so therefore the state government should not depend absolutely on the federal government simply because even the federal government on its own is busy fixing other national problems. The state government though may give the excuse of the road being a federal road should do something in ensuring that the issue is resolved amicably thereby moving the motion for the road to be tied or reconstructed without any subvention from the federal government.
Just because the road is a federal road as alleged does not mean we should leave it for the government alone to handle, we should also be patriotic to an extent that when the utmost government see's to the projects executed by private entities and individuals without his notice he will be ready to do more for such a state and her citizenry.
The people at the helm of affairs should please consider the reconstruction of this road as it stands now that if the problem is not fixed in the near future so many things will definitely go out of hand.
